T&C’S

Who we are

We are a online legal services shop operating in and within full compliance of the local laws of the Republic of South Africa. Our website address is: https://skylaw.co.za. Our services are limited to general advice and a select basket of services that can be provided over the counter. At no stage do we at Skylaw or our representatives purport to represent clients in ongoing legal or other proceedings. Our service offerings are specifically designed to only provide legal services which do not require ongoing legal representation. By purchasing any of our services you agree that you understand and accept these terms and conditions. If you require further clarity you must contact us before purchasing any of our available services so that we can investigate whether our services are suitable for you. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact us here

How it works

You can either purchase one of our existing services or request a custom quote via our contact page. If you purchase a existing service we will send you a short questionnaire to help us better understand your exact requirements. This is also a opportunity for you to provide us with all the details about your specific case. We will require the completed questionnaire together with copies of your ID and Proof of Residence before starting any work for you. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact us here

Acceptance of Skylaw Terms and Conditions

By registering on our website and purchasing any of our services you expressly agree to and accept our Terms and Conditions, Customer Agreement and all policies which are found here-under whether in written or link format. You are required to familiarize yourself with all our terms, conditions and policies before registering on our website or purchasing any of our services. Please feel free to contact us here at any time if you have any questions or concerns. A copy of our current Customer Agreement can be accessed here.

Why send your ID & Proof of Address

South African law requires all law firms to verify the identity and address of their clients before commencing any services for those clients. We are also required to store these documents for a period of 7 years and take great care not to share these documents or their information with any outside parties. By registering on our website & purchasing one of our services, you agree to send a clear colour copy of your South African Identity Document together with Proof of Address (not older than 3 months) to documents@skylaw.co.za

Unfortunately Skylaw cannot commence work until we receive these documents. Should you have any concerns or require assistance, please feel free to contact support@skylaw.co.za

Compliance

We are fully compliant with the laws of the Republic of South Africa and have in our possession a valid Fidelity Fund certificate required by all attorneys to operate within the Republic. As part of our service offering, we are legally required to perform customer due diligence (also locally known as FICA) on each customer and will require proof of identification and residence before completing your transaction. Please view the web version of our AML Policy here. A copy of our Fidelity Fund certificate or KYC policies may be requested by contacting support@skylaw.co.za
